In Memory of Beth Bryan

On April 17, 2009, Elizabeth Bryan passed away after a brief battle with melanoma. Beth was a great advocate of swimming and a beloved Curl Burke and NVSL coach. She was a team representative and coach for the Orange Hunt Swim Club for many years and a Masters swimmer. Beth also swam for Gettysburg College while pursuing her undergraduate degree in History.
Beth was a kind and smiling face on every pool deck she walked. She was always an encouraging and positive force for all who knew her.
Beth’s life outside the water included a husband, three teenaged sons, her parents and many friends. She taught kindergarten at Keene Mill Elementary. She loved her summers in Rangeley, Maine and her winters in Springfield, Virginia. Beth was an avid reader, loved history and enjoyed holidays with her family and friends.
Beth Bryan will be remembered as a bright spot in our community. She will be missed.
