| Awards: | Ribbons will be awarded for 1st to 8th place - Individual events Ribbons will be awarded for 1st to 3rd place - Relay events Ribbons will be awarded for heat winners in individual events. |
| Eligibility: | Open to all registered Potomac Valley Swimming Swimmers 8 years of age and under. It may be necessary to limit entries in certain events due to time constraints. Swimmers shall compete at the age attained on the first day of the meet. |
| Rules: | Current United States Swimming rules shall govern the meet. A contestant may enter a maximum of six (6) individual events for the meet and three (3) events per day. All individual events will be pre-seeded. Relays will be deck seeded. Check-in for relays must be done so within the first 20 minutes of each sessions warm-up. |
| Warm-Up: | The prescribed Potomac Valley Swimming warm-up procedures and safety policies will be followed. The meet director may determine the structure of the warm-up, including times and lane assignments. |
| Fees: | Fees for individual events are $3.00 and relay events are $6.00. Individual late entries are $10.00 per entry and must be submitted no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the first event for each session. No new heats will be created. Late entries on a first come, first served basis. There are no deck entries for relays. Each participating Club is requested to remit one check to cover the entry fee for the entire team. Please do not send cash. Entry fees are due with entries. |
| Admission: | There is no admission charge. Programs for each session will be available for $1.00 each. |
| Officials: | Certified Officials who have not been contacted should volunteer, please sign in with the Referee. An Officials meeting will be held no later than 10 minutes before the end of each warm-up session. |
| Supervision: | Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers and for cleaning up their team areas. |
| Seating: | Due to the limited pool deck space, OFFICIALS, USS REGISTERED COACHES and SWIMMERS only will be permitted on the pool deck. |
| Timers: | Participating Clubs are required to provide timers in proportion to their entry. A timer is required for each 25 entries. The number of timers being committed must be included on the club master entry. The number of timers will be adjusted when the Club is providing other officials. Acceptance of the Club entry is based on compliance with the above. The Host Club will provide one (1) timer per lane. |
| Entries: | Computer disk entries (Hy-tek) are encouraged. Disk entries require a meet entry report by SWIMMER and one by EVENT from Team Manager. Entries may also be submitted on the PVS Master Entry Sheet. All entries must included a completed"Entry Cover Sheet". Teams entering more than ten (10) athletes in this format will pay a $1.00 surcharge per swimmer. The signature and phone number of a Club official must be included with the entry for validation of entries. |
| Entry Deadline: | All entries must be submitted for this meet no later than 5:00 PM, Friday, January 8, 1999 Note, NO FAX or PHONE entries will be accepted. |
