Athlete Representative Election - 2006

Austin Auger was elected as the Junior Athlete's Representative to the PVS Board of Directors for term September 1, 2006 to August 31, 2008.  Congratulations!


Per the PVS By-Laws, nominations were sought at the May 24th House of Delegates Meeting for the Athlete Representative to the PVS Board.  None were received at that time, nor were any nominations submitted at the June 14th PVS Board Meeting.

Nominations are now being accepted for election to the PVS Board of Directors as an Athlete Representative. The Athlete Representative shall serve as the liaison between the athletes who are members of PVS and the Board of Directors and House of Delegates.  The term of office is September 1, 2006 to August 31, 2008.

At the time of election, the Athlete Representative must (a) be an Athlete Member in good standing; (b) be at least sixteen (16) years of age or at least a sophomore in high school; (c) be currently competing, or have competed during the three (3) immediately preceding years, in the program of swimming conducted by PVS or another LSC; and unless granted an exception by the Board of Directors (d) reside in the Territory and expect to reside therein throughout at least the first half of the term.

Austin Auger has now advised that he wishes to be on the ballot.

Elections will be held at the upcoming meets in July:

  • PVS Senior Long Course Championship Meet on Friday, July 14th from 8:00am to 9:30am
  • PVS Junior Long Course Championship Meet on Friday July 14th from 12:00pm to 1:30pm 1:00pm to 2:30 pm
  • PVS Age Group Championship Meet on Friday, July 21st from 7:15am to 8:45am.

The Athlete Representative elected shall be determined by a plurality of the Athlete Members in good standing, present, and voting who are thirteen (13) years of age or older.
