PVS is very pleased to announce that Janet Auger has accepted our offer to serve as the Administrative Assistant for PVS. In this capacity, she will be performing a wide range of responsibilities that will be both of assistance to the PVS Board and will be the primary support for many aspects of the day to day operation of the LSC. She is filling a vacancy that has existed for quite some time.

Janet has a long history of involvement with the swimming community. While living in the Northern Neck of Virginia, she was instrumental in the establishment of a summer league team and a USA Swimming team. Since returning to the Metropolitan Washington area, she has held numerous volunteer positions: NVSL Team Representative, NVSL Data Coordinator, and high school swim parent representative. She is frequently found on-deck as a Stroke and Turn Judge at summer league, high school and PVS meets.

Along with her working knowledge of the PVS community and competitive swimming, Janet brings extensive business experience to the position. She was a commercial insurance agent prior to co-founding and serving as the Chief Financial Office of a commercial general contracting firm. With two children in college (one swimming) and the third approaching driving age (also swimming), she is looking forward to putting her skills to work for PVS.

Janet began her duties on January 9th and the transition process is underway. She is currently working closely with John Hirschmann so she can take over some of the duties he has been performing for the past couple of years.
