Officials Representative
Nominations are now being accepted for election to the PVS Board of
Directors as an Officials Representative. The Officials Representative shall
serve as the liaison between the officials who are members of PVS and the
PVS Board of Directors and House of Delegates. The term of office is
September 1, 2009 to August 31, 2011.
At the time of election, the Officials Representative must (a) be currently registered with USA Swimming and (b) be currently certified by PVS as either a Referee, Starter, Stroke & Turn Judge, Hy-Tek Operator or Colorado Timing System Operator.
Marie-Beth "Boots" Hall has completed an initial two-year term and is eligible to run again. She has announced her intention to run for a second two-year term.
Any other officials wishing to run for this position should contact PVS General Chair Greg York by NOON on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at genlchr@pvswim.org.
Elections will be held at the upcoming LSC Championship meets:
PVS Senior LCM Championship Meet at University of Maryland (UMD) on Friday, July 17th and Sunday, July 19th from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM each day.
PVS Junior Long Course Championship Meet at UMD on Friday July 17th from 12:00 PM to 1:40 PM and Sunday July 19th from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
PVS LC 14&U Championship Meet at Fairland Aquatic Center on Friday, July 24 and Sunday, July 26 from 6:30 AM to 8:15 AM each day.
The Officials Representative elected shall be determined by a plurality of the PVS Certified Official Members in good standing, present, and voting.
