The PVS Diversity Committee has joined with DC Wave to create a PVS Travel Team for the Black Heritage Meet in Cary, NC over the Memorial Day weekend (May 27-29th). The PVS Diversity Committee and DC Wave would like to invite any PVS registered athletes to join and compete under one team called DMV–PV. DC Wave has already started to make arrangements for transportation and lodging. All applications and deposits to secure spacing are due by Friday, March 25, 2011 to Mr. Rob Green at robert.green@dc.gov. This meet is great experience for all the athletes in PVS. Please share this information with your families and teams.
Team Practices:
Saturday, April 16th and May 14th
Trip Cost:
To secure a space for the the trip a deposit of $100.00 is due with the application to Rob Green by Friday, March 25th. The overall cost will be $250 and covers hotel, meet entries (6 ind events and relays), team tee, team cap and team picnic. Your $100 deposit will go towards the total cost of $250.00. The remaining balance will be due by May 14th (during 2nd team practice) or should be sent to the NC trip coordinator Rob Green before May 14th. All checks should be made out to DC Wave Booster Club. Trip Arrangements:
Buses will depart from Takoma on Friday, May 27th at 7:00am and we will stop for breakfast around 9:00 am. Swimmers are to make sure to pack extra money for snacks and dinner for the meet. Swimmers will return on Sunday, May 29th to Takoma Park after the conclusion of the meet. Approximate time of arrival home TBD.
