General Chairman's Report
October 15, 2001
- John Blaschke, PVS Board Senior Coach Representative, has been appointed adapted swimming coordinator for the association. This appointment will serve to strengthen our support of competitive adapted swimming within PVS.
- USA Swimming is hosting a Meet Directors' Symposium on January 10-11, 2002 at
the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. This symposium is designed
for meet directors of all levels from developmental events through national
championships.
Sessions will cover USA Swimming event requirements, marketing, media services,
event organization, risk management and other topics.
The cost of the program is $90 per person. This will include meals, a social on
Thursday evening, as well as all necessary materials. Housing is $40 per night based
on double occupancy. Single occupancy is $80 per night. Transportation to and from
Colorado Springs is the responsibility of the participant.
Anyone registering to attend will receive a copy of the Meet Director Symposium
Manual one week prior to the meeting.

Both forms should be returned no later than Monday, December 3 to USA Swimming.
It should be noted that space is limited to the first 50 participants.
