REPORT OF PVS NOMINATING COMMITTEE
APRIL 18, 2011

A Nominating Committee consisting of John Hirschmann, Linda Klopfenstein and Jack Neill was established by the PVS Board of Directors at its March 2011 meeting.   A notice was posted to the PVS website in February (see below.).  It addressed the Board of Director positions to be elected by the House this year.  Names which were received as a result of that notice (and who have confirmed to the Nominating Committee that they wish to run for that position) have been put forth as a candidate by the Nominating Committee.  In addition, four positions on the PVS Board of Review will be elected by the House this year..

Currently the Nominating Committee has identified the following candidates.  Other individuals who wish to be a candidate for any of these positions are encouraged to advise the Nominating Committee of their interest by Monday, April 25.  . . Additional nominations will also be accepted from the floor at the House meeting, prior to the time elections are held.

The election for these positions will be at the annual PVS House of Delegates meeting to be held on May 23, 2011 at River Falls

Candidates will be invited to submit statements in support of their candidacy which will be posted to the PVS website.

Elections for a Coaches Rep and two Athletes Reps to the Board were held in March 2011.  The following people were elected:. Coaches Representative:  Scott Bryant (PM)

Athlete Reps:  Brandon Fiala (MACH) and John Kim (CUBU)

The Officials Representative to the Board will be elected on at the summer championship meets. The Officials Committee is seeking nominations for this position. Please contact the Officials Chair if you are interested in running for this position.  Persons wishing to seek election to this position may also announce their intention to do so at the House of Delegates meeting.

All persons who have been or will be elected will serve a full two-year term from September 1, 2011 to August 31, 2013.  The General Chairman (with the concurrence of the Board of Directors) may fill any new vacancy created as result of this election.
