It is with great sadness we share the news of the passing of a wonderful Potomac Valley and Machine swimmer, Christopher A Kearns. Chris swam with Machine from 2003- 2006. He formerly swam with the York Swim Club, starting in 2001. He was also a member of the Oakton High School swimming and lacrosse teams. Chris died suddenly Saturday evening in a tragic accident.
PVS joins with MACH in extending its condolences to his parents Sherree and Richard Lopez and Scott and Ruth Kearns. It also extends its condolences to his siblings, Zachary A. Kearns and Tommy and Nicole Lopez, all of whom are also swimmers.
Funeral arrangements for Chris are as follows:
Everly Funeral Home 10565 Main St., Fairfax, VA 22030 for a wake on Wednesday, November 1st from 2 to 4 and again from 6 to 8 in the evening.
The funeral mass is planned for Thursday, November 2nd at 10:30 am at St. Leo's Catholic Church, 3700 Old Lee Hwy., Fairfax, VA.
