PVS CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
COLORADO TIMING SYSTEM AND HY-TEK OPERATOR

  1. Hy-Tek Operator
    1. Certification Requirements
      1. Attend PVS conducted Basic Hy-Tek Clinic.
      2. Perform successfully under the supervision of a certified Hy-Tek operator at a minimum of three (3) sessions at a minimum of two (2) different non-championship meets.
      3. Experience must include opportunities to handle: (1) events subject to positive check-in; (2) processing deck entries; (3) transferring times electronically from the CTS timing system; and (4) reviewing the output of the CTS

      4. Report performance on the PVS Official's Certification Form.
    2. Continuing Requirements -
      3. Work at least four (4) sessions per year as a Hy-Tek operator. Up to two (2) sessions as a CTS operator may be substituted.
    3. Recertification Requirements - None

  2. Colorado Timing System (CTS) Operator
    1. Certification Requirements
      1. Attend PVS conducted CTS Clinic.
      2. Perform successfully under the supervision of a certified CTS operator at a minimum of three (3) sessions at a minimum of two (2) different non-championship meets.
      3. Experience must include opportunities to: (1) enter the descriptions of events into CTS, and (2) review the setups and modify as appropriate.
      4. Report performance on the PVS Official's Certification Form.
    2. Continuing Requirements -
      3. Work at least four (4) sessions per year as a CTS operator. Up to two (2) sessions as a Hy-Tek operator may be substituted.
    3. Recertification Requirements - None
