Informatation from
United States Deaf Swimming (USDS)

United States Deaf Swimming (USDS), under formation, encourages and invites ALL swimmers with a hearing loss of 55dB of greater, to join. USDS will exist to support and improve swimming opportunities and training for deaf swimmers in the USA. USDS will also exist as a national sports organization affiliate of USADSF and provide oversight for national team selection for national and international events.

At this time USDS encourages ALL deaf swimmers to attend an informational session and for competition at the 3rd Annual GTAC Open Disability Meet to be held May 27th and 28th on the campus of Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, MI.

If you cannot attend the Greater Toledo Meet, please make contact with the names below.

A database of swimmers with a hearing loss is being developed. It is our goal to provide information in a timely manner and to find competition venues where deaf swimmers can compete against each other and qualify for team selection. Please contact Joanne Weeden at 6weedens@wekz.net and/or Tina Robinson at kwarob@aol.com for inclusion in deaf swimmers database.
