Eligibility: Open to all Potomac Valley Swimming registered athletes. Also, open to registered athletes of invited USA Swimming clubs. Clubs interested in participating should request an invitation from the PVS Senior Chairman, Don Riedlinger at 301-776-1114 or driedlin@erols.com or the PVS Age Group Chairman, Bill Marlin at 571-334-0987 or coach_bill@verizon.net. Swimmers shall compete at the age attained on the first day of the meet. It may be necessary to limit entries due to time constraints.
Warnings:

Any club that enters an unregistered or improperly registered athlete, falsifies an entry in any way, or permits an unregistered coach, or a coach with expired or incomplete certifications  to represent them, will be fined the sum of $100.00 and no further entries will be accepted from that club until the said fine has been paid.

Entry fees are due with meet entry. Unpaid fees will be reported to the PVS Administrative Office at the conclusion of the meet.

Rules: Current USA Swimming rules shall govern the meet. All events are timed finals. A contestant may enter no more than three events.
Dive-over starts may be used at this meet at the discretion of the Meet Manager and/or Meet Referee. Coaches are requested to review Guidance for Dive-Over Starts for Coaches.  Officials are requested to review Protocol for Dive-Over Starts.   A determination whether to do so will be made shortly after entries for this meet have been processed.
Coaches are expected to be in compliance with the new USA Swimming Background Screening Program. 
SEED TIMES ARE LONG COURSE METERS
Inclusion Policy for Swimmers with a Disability: PVS and host clubs along with their Meet Directors are committed to the Inclusion Policy as adopted by the BOD. Athletes with a disability are welcomed and are asked to provide advance notice of desired accommodations to the Meet Director. The athlete (or the athlete’s coach) is also responsible for notifying the session referee of any disability prior to the competition.
Positive Check In: All events 200 Meters or longer will be deck seeded. The Meet Director has determined that will determine if positive check-in will be required for any all events of 100 meters or shorter.  Athletes who check in to a deck-seeded event, have been seeded, and fail to swim the event will be barred from their next scheduled individual event, unless excused by the Referee before the event takes place.
Warm-up: The prescribed Potomac Valley Swimming warm-up procedures and safety policies will be followed. The Meet Director may determine the structure of the warm-up, including times and lane assignments.
Officials: All certified officials wishing to volunteer to work this meet please contact the appropriate club officials chairman shown above prior to June 3. Please include your club affiliation, certifications held and sessions you wish to work. Officials volunteering should sign in at the recording table prior to the start of Warm-ups. Certified officials who have not previously advised of their availability may volunteer their services to the Referee at this time.
Timers:Participating clubs are required to provide timers in proportion to their entries. A timer is required for each 25 entries. The number of timers being committed must be included on the club master entry. The number of timers required will be adjusted when club is providing other officials. Acceptance of the club entry is based upon compliance with the above. Host clubs are required to provide one timer per lane.
Supervision: Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers and for cleaning up their team areas.
Admission Programs: There is no admission charge. Programs for each session will be available for $2.00 each. Working officials and coaches receive a free program.
Concessions: There will be no concessions available for athletes and spectators at this meet.
Awards: There are no awards at this meet.
Entry Fees:
Fees for individual events are $3.75.

Entry fees are due with meet entry. Unpaid fees will be reported to the PVS Administrative Office at the conclusion of the meet.

Meet Entry Procedures: Each club is requested to remit one check to cover the entry fee for the entire team. Please note your club name (if not a club check), the # of entries, and the meet name or sanction number on your check. Please do not send cash. Telephone entries will not be accepted. Entry fees are due with entry. Computer disk entries (Hy-Tek) require 2, 3.5"disks, meet entry report by swimmer and a meet entry report by event from the team manager program. Entries may also be submitted on the PVS master entry sheet. Also submit a completed "entry cover sheet". Signature and phone number of a club official must be included with entry for validation of entries. There will be a $1.00 surcharge per athlete for manual entries of 10 or more.

Optional: Before preparing your entries, events for this meet can be downloaded and then imported into team manager. (download "46mm061007.zip"), unzip it and then go to team manager/file/import/meet events). To download as a file, you may need in Netscape to right click on the mouse and select "Save Link as" and with Microsoft Explorer right click on the mouse and select "Save Target As"

Meet Directors are requested to acknowledge receipt by return e-mail within 24 hours. Clubs submitting entries that do NOT receive an acknowledgement should contact the Meet Director by other than e-mail to confirm receipt.

Late/Deck Entries No deck entries will be accepted.  Late (deck) entries are $10.00 per individual event and must be submitted no later than 45 minutes prior to the first event of each session. Swimmers will first be entered into open lanes in existing heats on a first come, first served basis. In the event of a significantly over subscribed session, the Meet Director reserves the right to not accept deck entries.
Deadline: The Meet Director must receive all entries for this meet no later than
5:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2007

Important: The above date is the deadline for clubs to submit their entries to the Meet Director. Therefore, clubs usually set an earlier deadline to receive entries from their swimmers. Check with your club for this information.
